JAN KOKE (Hamburg, Germany)

Jan Koke was born in Hamburg, raised in Kiel and is now back in Hamburg. In the year 1994 he first came in contact with graffiti/lettering. 2006 he started an education as a layouter, typesetter and printer. That was the time he learned about typography, taught by his master, an old school typesetter. After that he studied communication design in Hamburg to expand his knowledge about the anatomy of letters. In his studies he designed fonts, logotypes and begann to work on his calligraphy skills and calligraffiti styles. Out off these different influences, from all kinds of letters he creates something new, by mixing styles, tools and philophosys.
